Nurse Fellowship Program:
Our RN Fellowship Program is a 3 month program that follows guidelines established by leading authorities supporting
transition programs for newly graduated Registered Nurses.

This program is a model that offers the new graduate nurse an
opportunity to participate in a unique clinical development
program. As part of this fellowship, the novice RN will train with seasoned staff in a pre-determined specialty and will be able to take advantage of classroom instruction offered
exclusively to RNs within Gateway Medical Center.
Program Objectives:
During the Fellowship, the RN will:
- Practice technical, clinical reasoning, interpersonal and professional skill sets achieved through basic registered nursing education
- Refine skill sets in respective specialties to enhance work-readiness through immersion and mentorship
- Improve interdisciplinary communication skills
- Augment clinical knowledge in respective specialty field

- Rotations through Ancillary departments enhancing knowledge of care and diagnostic design

Nurse Intern Program:
The Nurse Intern Program is designed to help the nursing student bridge the gap between theory and clinical practice.

It allows the student to be involved in many activities of care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Students accepted into the Nurse Intern Program will gain valuable patient care knowledge and skill. The program runs
June 15 - 26, 2015.
- We offer a wide variety of opportunities for nursing students.
- We welcome students to participate as nurse interns to gain experience and confidence.
- The Nurse Intern Program allows students to participate in hands-on learning experiences while working as a Tech, under the guidance of registered nurses.
Student Qualifications Include:
- Enrollment in a BSN or ADN program at an accredited school of nursing
- Successful completion of Foundations/Fundamentals of Nursing and first clinical rotation
- Successful completion of AHA Basic Life Support course
