Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville Delivering Quality Care and More to Clarksville and Montgomery County

CLARKSVILLE, TN – Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville provided care to thousands of area residents in 2024, with 330,000 patient encounters across its network of physician clinics and other outpatient sites of care. In addition to delivering safe, quality, compassionate healthcare, the health system is helping those in need, supporting charitable organizations and contributing to the area economy. In its most recent Community Benefit Report, Tennova’s impact totaled an estimated $233 million in 2024.
Tennova’s emergency room provides lifesaving, medically necessary care at more than 97,000 patient encounters each year, treating all patients regardless of their ability to pay. In 2024, Tennova provided $121 million in charity and uncompensated care and provided resources to help patients in need, secure medications and medical support devices.
The health system and its employees also support local organizations that make a difference, especially those addressing social determinants of health. Through service projects such as the annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter drive for YAIPak Outreach and contributions to charitable organizations such as Good Samaritan Health Clinic and Alzheimer’s Association, Tennova gives back to the community throughout the year.

To enhance patient care and expand healthcare access, Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville is investing in medical services, facilities and technologies. Capital projects in 2024 totaled $7.5 million. Technology additions included robotic knee replacement equipment, endoscopy upgrades, and cardiac cath lab enhancements.
The hospital also took steps to increase care close to home by the addition of an in-hospital neurologist and recruitment of 3 additional surgeons to the team at Tennova Surgery - Clarksville. Patient safety remained a priority in 2024, with Tennova receiving multiple Zero Harm awards from the Tennessee Hospital Association. Earning the CMS recognition of Birthing Friendly in 2024, our newest patients come into the world receiving safe, quality care.

Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville is one of the community’s larger employers with a payroll of $94 million. Support for the future healthcare workforce includes training the next generation of medical professionals through collaborations with area colleges including Austin Peay State University, Hopkinsville Community College and Nashville State. In addition to supporting the local economy through job creation, Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville paid $4.4 million in taxes in 2024, monies that support local infrastructure and civic resources.
